Creating a VPA of Your Choice
- VPA is a component of the UPI payment system. As a result, it is available through the UPI App. The following is the procedure for obtaining a VPA:
- Install the UPI app and connect it to a bank account using your cell phone number. Just use the cell phone number that is already on file with your bank.
- You will have to go through a cell phone authentication process, followed by the next round of verification. This verification can take the form of a security code, a grid, or any other type of authentication method.
- Generate a VPA for the account you provided once the last verification is complete.
- As it is with email addresses, you are assigned a VPA of your preference if the availability check affirms that it is obtainable. If it isn’t obtainable, try something else.
How do transactions happen with VPA?
- Launch the UPI application.
- Input the pin and select New Payments.
- Now, chose UPI ID (VPA) or QR code under Transfer Money.
- A pop-up window will appear and choose UPI ID or VPA.
- To confirm, insert the person’s VPA.
- If it is correct, add the amount, enter your password, and click the Send Money button.
