APEDA Registration
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is a government agency that was founded in 1985 by an act to develop and promote scheduled product exports. It provides financial support, knowledge, and guidance for the development of planned products. Schedule products are those that are defined by the APEDA Act, and exporters of them must register with APEDA – APEDA Online Registration – RCMC, Registration Procedure.
The APEDA Act’s goal
APEDA’s goal is to encourage the export of schedule products, and to that end, it performs a variety of responsibilities under central government regulation. The APEDA Act is administered efficiently by the central government, which establishes rules and regulations that are implemented by this body.
APEDA Authorities’ Purposes
Authorities are entrusted with a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Development of Scheduled products and promotion of export-oriented production
- Creating criteria and specifications for the products that will be delivered on time
- Exporters of scheduled products are required to register and pay the required fees.
- Improving the Scheduled products’ packaging and marketing
- Conducting a product inspection in order to ensure that the products are of good quality.
- Training in a variety of businesses related to the scheduled products is provided.
- Development of companies related to the scheduled products, as well as conducting surveys, feasibility studies, and other similar activities
- Statistic collection and dissemination from factory or facility owners
- Fruits, vegetables, meat, and poultry products are among the products for which APEDA is responsible for export promotion and development. APEDA Registration Procedure
The applicant must submit the application form within one month of starting the business to be eligible for APEDA registration. Only the Authority can extend the registration deadline if the exporter of planned items fails to register within that time frame owing to good reason. The authorities will provide a Registration -Cum- Membership- Certificate once the applicant has filed and paid the application (RCMC). Registration documents are required
- An application form has been duly signed.
- G.F.T. has published a copy of the Import-Export code.

- Bank Account statement for the company’s bank account (for latest 2 months)

- It aids exporters in promoting their brands through advertising, packaging design, database upgrades, and surveys, among other things.

Registration using the internet
With effect from 1.8.2015, the issuance of RCMC has been done online utilising digital signatures with the goal of simplification of procedures and ease of conducting business. Exporters can apply online and follow the steps outlined below:
Click the “Register as Member” link on the APEDA website after logging in.
Enter the fundamental information – i.e., CODE, Email ID, and Mobile Number – and then submit the One Time Password to confirm the information will be sent to your email and mobile number, which must be supplied on the verification screen.
Fill out the online application and upload the relevant documents when you’ve completed the verification process. Only JPEG, PDF, or PNG format materials should be submitted.
By returning to the website using the supplied OTP, you can finish the online application in one or more sessions. Save the data once all of the data has been entered into the appropriate fields. Until no online payment is completed, the data entered can be changed.
The registration fee is Rs. 5000/- excluding taxes, and it can be paid using any of the following methods: a) Credit Card (MasterCard and Visa), b) Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa), c) Demand Draft in favour of “APEDA” payable with respective cities.
An application number will be generated once the payment process is complete. This is the application number, which will be needed in the future.
Login details will be emailed to the exporter’s registered email address after the RCMC has been issued. Exporters can access their accounts by visiting the APEDA website and clicking on the “Exporter Login” link.
The status of the RCMC application can be checked by selecting the “Track Application” link and entering the IE Code and Application number.
The exporter will have to monitor and resubmit the document online if there is a flaw in the application.
