E-SAHYOG ITD – INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT
WHAT IS E-SAHYOG – ITD – INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT
In order to facilitate easy compliance for the small taxpayer, e-sahyog – ITD was launched by Income Tax Department under Income Tax Act, 1961.
Generally, ITD (‘Income Tax Department’) compares income tax returns (‘ITR’) filed by taxpayers with information collected by ITD, i.e. Details in Annual Information Return (‘AIR’) or Form 26AS, TDS statement. The differences were resolved after picking the income tax file through the security procedure.
e-sahyog is an online tool to resolve discrepancies in income tax returns (‘ITR’) without physical attendance to resolve these discrepancies. This is bound to save time and money for taxpayers as well as ITD.
